While BodyTalk has been a healing modality for over 20 years now, many people I meet have never even heard of it. I am on a mission to introduce as many people as possible to the powerful and effective healing modality that has changed my life and the life of my clients!

BodyTalk is a healing system that combines the knowledge of Western science, Eastern Medicine (Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, the chakra system), and Quantum Physics in a way that helps the client understand the story behind the symptom or the illness. While in many Western systems and even in some alternative medicine systems there is a focus on finding a diagnosis or label for what is going on, in BodyTalk, we instead focus on understanding what the body is trying to communicate through the symptom, issue, or illness. Rather than focusing all the energy and intention on making the symptom go away, we actually listen to it as intelligent wisdom from the body. Often when we simply listen to what the body is saying, the symptom can go away.

One great analogy is that of an iceberg… while many systems focus on the part of the iceberg that is above the water (which is the smaller portion of the iceberg), in BodyTalk, we are much more curious about what lies beneath the symptom or “problem.” What is below the water tells a story of traumas, struggles, old unresolved emotions, past illnesses, stressors, belief systems, and physical and psychological issues that have all contributed to the symptom the client is experiencing. When we hear and address the WHOLE story, rather than just the tip of the iceberg, we are able to facilitate deep healing and rejuvenation!

BodyTalk uses neuromuscular biofeedback (or muscle testing), light hand contacts, and gentle tapping (an ancient Hatha Yoga technique) to generate subtle electrical currents in the body. BodyTalk uses the latest advances from quantum physics, clinical studies and the mind-body connection to help reset the nervous system out of “fight or flight” into a healing mode, re-establishing lines of healthy communication between the systems of the body.

Sessions can be done both in person, with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table, at a distance over the phone, or even remotely with a recorded session.
