Do you find that you describe yourself or a loved one as unhappy, angry, conflict-seeking, stubborn, and anxious? Have you been lacking focus, motivation, and being unable to make or keep friends?

These are some of the descriptions people use when they come in seeking resolution with the help of neurofeedback treatments.

We all experience a wide range of feelings and emotions on a daily basis. Each of us has good – even great days, but we also have “those” days when we feel depressed, bummed out and anti-social.

It is perfectly normal and even healthy to experience anger from time-to-time, especially when you see something terrible like a person hurting our dog. If I were to smile or laugh in that scenario, you’d think something is wrong with me, right?

But what if you walk through your life feeling as if someone is hurting your dog every minute of the day? Day after day, month after month, or even year after year. Then it’s time for help and Neurofeedback is a great tool for that.

I love using a wheel analogy. Have you ever tried pushing a grocery cart with a wheel that squeaks or gets stuck? Imagine that you can’t trade it for any other cart and are left using this one with its unbalanced wheel. Now imagine having to push it around the store all day long for hours. By the end of the day, after trying to stay on course with your unbalanced cart, you very well may have a mega meltdown, snap at a fellow customer, or scream out of frustration.

While our brain is much more complicated than a grocery cart wheel, when something in our brain glitches, sticks, or does not work as efficiently as it should, it can make our days miserable and unproductive. It will affect our ability to be patient and understanding with others. It will affect our self-esteem. It will affect our personality.

I’ve seen amazing changes in adults and children using NeurOptimal® neurofeedback, and it doesn’t include changing their personality.

Neurofeedback supports the brain to function more efficiently and run like a well-oiled machine. Clients report feeling calmer, lighter, happier, and having a more positive outlook on life.

For children, these positive feelings translate into behavior that peers can relate to and understand. Now this child receives more praise from adults. They feel likable. They feel successful. They get better grades. Naturally, they can make and keep more friends.

Adults experience these same benefits. Plus they report better focus and success in work. Their personal relationships; including marriage, improve. They begin to feel comfortable going out more and can manage stressful situations with success. These adults can stay calm and solve conflict more positively.

Neurofeedback is a powerful modality that can change negative mental patterns that do not serve you so that your true self and personality can shine.
